How to introduce my new baby Schnauzer to my parents two older, and bigger dogs?
Question by : How to introduce my new baby Schnauzer to my parents two older, and bigger dogs?
I can’t introduce the dogs anywhere besides my home.
I need some good ways to introduce my new puppy. I’m buying him tomorrow. And so, it will be a houseful of male dogs.
When my mom and her boyfriend got together, their dogs weren’t very friendly and they just let them get to know each other on their own. But i’m scared for the puppy, so I want to have some good tips.

Keep the new puppy in a room the other dogs don’t go into a lot. Give the puppy something the dogs use a lot. A toy or their blanket or something. (or you can rub a towel on the dogs’ paw pads to get their scent and put it in with puppy) Leave the pup in their for a few days to let the other dogs listen to the pups noise and smell puppy from under the door. After about two days, take the puppy through the house with the other dogs on leashes held by your parents or friends. Then, have the puppy in the middle of the room still on leash. Give all the dogs a treat for looking at each other. Then start doing that everyday three times a day getting closer and closer. Eventually you should be able to have the puppy off leash and then all the dogs should be used to each other enough to run around together.
P.S while your waiting the days, you could train your puppy new tricks and basic obedience.
If you have any other questions about obedience, just email me the questions once you have your dog.
